Remember to always exercise caution when working with heated components.
Tools Required:
7mm Socket
Torque wrench
Parts Needed:
Nozzle
Step 1: Move the Bed and Print Head
Using the printer control panel move the bed down to Z200 to provide adequate working space.
Move the print head to the center of the build volume (X150, Y150).
Step 2: Preheat the Nozzle
Preheat the nozzle to 200°C. This will help loosen the nozzle for removal.
Step 3: Remove the Old Nozzle
Using a 7 mm socket, loosen the old nozzle from the hot end and carefully remove. Be cautious, as the nozzle will be hot.
Place the nozzle on a heat resistant surface such as a metal tray.
Step 4: Install the New Nozzle
Take your new nozzle and carefully thread it into the hot end. Ensure that it is properly aligned to avoid cross-threading.
Use a torque wrench to tighten the nozzle to 5.6Nm or 60in-lb. This will ensure a secure and leak-free installation.
Done! Resume printing or cooldown the printhead.
Avoid leaving the nozzle preheated for long durations as it burns the filament inside which may lead to clogs.
