  8. Prepare the new linear bearing by injecting grease into the ball recirculating channels shown in the 4 corners. Locate the entrance of the recirculating channel, insert the end of the syringe needle deeply moving any ball bearings out of the way if necessary and inject until excess grease appears. Be careful not to lose any ball bearings as they are loosely captured by the wire retainer.

  9. Slide the new bearing onto the rail, take care to not dislodge the ball bearings. If you lose any balls you can remove the bearing, reinsert the ball bearings, and try again.

  10. Align the linear bearing with the X block. Apply medium strength thread lock and finger tighten the M3 socket head screws.

  11. Move the printhead along the X axis back and forth a few times before parking the printhead in the center of travel and torquing the M3 socket head screws to 1Nm

  12. Reinstall the printed X axis end stop with medium strength thread locker to 0.7Nm

  13. Move the printhead to the back of the printer. Reinstall the ballscrew support bracket loosely with medium strength thread locker.

  14. Move the printhead to the front of the printer and torque the M4 socket head screws of the ballscrew support bracket to 3Nm.
