February 2026 HS-Pro Software/Firmware/Hardware Update
A Major Reliability and Quality Upgrade
We’ve been running these machines hard in production, alongside customer feedback, and focusing on what causes failures, slows operators down, or needs babysitting.
Upgrading your Machine
To fully upgrade all components such that there are no missing dependencies follow the upgrade order here:
Hardware Update
Install Nozzle Wiper and Scrubber HS-Pro Nozzle Wiper and Scrubber Installation
Install Digital Load Cell Printhead Electronics HS-Pro Printhead Digital Load Cell
Printer’s Update Manager -Machine Software Updates
Update Moonraker
Update HS3-config (Likely says “CORRUPT” - Hard Recover needed)
Upgrade all other components
Update PantheonSlicer https://github.com/Pantheon-Design/PantheonSlicer-3/releases
Slicer and Print Performance
Get the latest version here: https://github.com/Pantheon-Design/PantheonSlicer-3/releases
Brings PantheonSlicer-3 up to date with Orcaslicer V2.3.1 stable release, with selected upstream updates through Jan 6, 2026.
Fuzzy skin painting and expanded fuzzy skin parameters
Painted mouse ear brims
New Print Profiles
Early profiles were developed around internal parts. We’ve since incorporated customer feedback and tested a much wider range of real-world prints.
Expanded profile coverage
Most materials now include 0.4 mm (quality) and 0.5 mm (strength) profiles
More sensible default settings (walls, infill, etc.)
Significantly improved bridging, overhangs, and support interfaces
Please note that these new profile require a software update and regeneration of the printer’s configuration file as these profiles have been tuned assuming the configuration has been changed to address an extruder driver setting. Machine Software Updates
Printhead Driver Configurations
We fixed a driver-level issue that could cause occasional step loss during retraction or un-retraction, which could show up as extra material or messy seams.
More consistent retractions
Cleaner seams
Fewer random extrusion artifacts
Hardware
Digital Signal Processing for Probing
Probing now uses digital signal processing instead of analog detection. The firmware analyzes the raw probe signal to more reliably detect true nozzle contact.
More repeatable probing
Fewer failed probes
Fewer prints failing before starting
Probing retries automatically when errors/noise are detected
This requires a hardware update that can be ordered here: https://shop.pantheondesign.com/products/hs-pro-printhead-digital-load-cell

Nozzle Scrubber and Wiper
Purchase Link: https://shop.pantheondesign.com/products/hs-pro-nozzle-wiper-and-scrubber
We’ve added a nozzle scrubber and wiper, along with updated homing and probing routines.
Keeps the nozzle clean before probing
Improves first-layer consistency
Removes the need to manually clean the nozzle
Installation Instructions: HS-Pro Nozzle Wiper and Scrubber Installation
Spool Tracker
The user can now input spool and filament details in the Extruder page on the touchscreen to have the machine track filament usage. See how to use it here: Printer Controls | Spool Tracking
Spool tracking notifies the user when the remaining filament is insufficient for the requested print job
The web-console displays the Spool Tracker data
Software/Firmware and Printer Behavior
The Update Manager’s update and reset process is more robust (does not wipe the config folder’s contents leading to warnings/errors)
Slight modifications to the Pause/Resume macros to reduce delays and utilize the wiper
Z-tilt adjustment and probing time has been reduced.
Backend changes to Klipper for digital load-cell probing
Klipperscreen changes for Spool Tracker on Extruder page
